Q: Should I want my device to no longer be able to share information with third parties, and I turn off Location Services, does my iPhone continue to do so? A: No.
Q: Is the anonymous, encrypted information sent back to Apple currently used for any other purpose than to speed up finding my location when I am using GPS services so I don't have to wait several minutes each time? A: No.
Q: Is the location data on my iPhone my actual whereabouts? A: No. It's cell towers and Wi-Fi hotspots nearby, some more than 100 miles away.
If this is Big Brother, he gets an EPIC FAIL from me.

I downloaded the Sling Plug-in for Mac off the Slingbox site. When I click to start the installer that downloaded it pops up a box that "ask you to close Safari"??? while the installer is approx one minute from finishing the install and then it locks the progress bar..........when you close Safari as requested it then cancels the install and gives "Installation Failed" message ( well duh; I am forced to close the internet browser)

I can't give blood for another few months yet since I was in some not so nice places in the world. I think a year away from such countries is the rule if memory serves me right.

It's called the 'semantic web'. You may want to look it up. Decent web designers have been designing this way for some time where they can and the W3 want everyone to go this way.
I think this makes us web programmers rather than designers.
It will only break your site design if your site design is badly designed in the first place.
Then please go visit www.csszengarden.com and see how user-applied changes break their designs to the point where elements are covered by others. Those designs usually apply to the W3 standards, and I bet they are far better at this things than either you or me.

I didn't lose any of my roll-over minutes. I have ~1200 and am on the 450 individual plan.
They will fix it on the next bill. You'll only have 450 rollover minutes. The same thing happened to me.

The back of that car looks like a BMW. I quite like it, still not a fan of the new VW front grills though unfortunately.
One car I'd love to see in the US (as I may well end up living there one day) is the Ford Mondeo sold in the European market. Absolutely love the design of that car for a saloon/sedan.

Every time there's a patent or copyright article and people go off the deep end calling these companies crazy/evil, etc, I wish the article would indicate the fact that they are actually required to do so or risk losing their patent/trademarks. Doesn't even matter if they want to or not.
Why would the article indicate that ? You do not risk losing patents by not suing over them. That's only applicable to trademarks.

To all the people incensed that they've been labelled high-risk (for whatever reason) and not able to give blood, for goodness sakes… it's not about you. Go and spend one night a month washing dishes in a soup kitchen or something if it's really about giving to the community. There are no shortage of things you can quietly do to give to others.
To everyone else, it just means we have to give more blood to make up for the loss! It's great if this thread has inspired you to give. It was many years before I finally started donating… Not because I didn't want to, but like a lot of things, I just never got around to it. Then I saw a mobile blood van and thought… right, no excuses for putting it off.
Now someone in my family has been receiving blood to deal with a potentially life-threatening condition, so we are so thankful to the mystery donors!
I'm AB+ (universal recipient) which is handy.
Me too. When I first gave blood and found that out I thought, oh my blood is pretty much useless as it's only good for the small percentage of population with exactly the same type. We (the general public) are tightening up the "gay slur" leash a little to tight. I know I use the word ****** or thats gay when I do things, even if I look at a pink motorcycle I'm like that's gay. It has nothing to do with gays in general, so why flip out over it?

It's already been reported that Lion Server will improve file sharing with Windows 7 (and of course, the mail service will work with the right client app), but what about other services? Can a Windows client log in with a network account?

To answer my own question, I just updated my iPhone to iOS 4.3.2, and my previous installation of XCode3.2.6+SDK 4.3 downloaded symbols from the iPhone and was able to debug just fine.
So I didn't need to do huge .dmg download after updating yet again.

Can't you sort your library by name and manually select the dupes?

I think the consensus is that Apple abandoned the idea of building a phone completely from the ground up, which was their original idea. The question is *what* exactly they abandoned. At some level it makes sense for them to use Symbian or some other existing OS in order to get the benefit of 3rd party app availability.
Then again, that rather un-Apple like, since I would think Apple would want to have total control over the interface. Maybe Apple *will* come up with a real-time "OS X Lite" operating system, and the 3rd party apps will have to be Java apps, basically. If Apple makes sure that Java performs well on the iPhone then that would be their best strategy...
