Sorry for the hijack here but I bought it when he tried to sell me on something less money. Maybe it was him pushing the other brand. :o
I have the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker and it's ok. The kitchenaid will be much better, just turn your freezer temp as low as it will go and leave the churn in there for about a day, I usually do for at least 24 hours. The Cuisinart only works on one speed so when the mixture starts to really firm up you can't whip it harder to incorporate air. Besides, why have something that only does one thing? ;) A kitchenaid will last literally forever, you'll have to put it in your will.

Then, when people buying iPads to resell for profit is mentioned, people on here complain its wrong because they are taking iPads from people that would otherwise buy them. What happened to learning how to wait???

I need an iPod mini. The last one I had met with... an unfortunate "accident".
Doesn't particularly matter to me which gen it is, as long as it holds a decent charge (4 hours or more), and isn't pink. Well, I'll settle for pink, but at a discount.

If you right-click iTunes in the Finder and choose "Show Package Contents", you will find graphic files in different sizes (cd, dvd jacket) for all the genres iTunes recognizes. I believe it is possible to add your own graphics/genres provided you follow the naming convention.

Defender is from Midway Games and they're under Liquidation now:

William's Electronics originally made Defender before Midway bought them up. Stargate was the sequel (later renamed Defender II for legal reasons I've heard)
William's games were my favorite with Joust and Robotron (as well as their "High Speed" pinball) at the top of the list.
FWIW, back in the 80's, Midway, Williams, Atari and to a lesser degree, Stern and Tatio dominated the US arcades. Nintendo joined with Donkey Kong but I don't remember them being as big as the 1st three until their "vs'" series came out which allowed head-to-head play.
If these games are all Atari, you're not going to see Defender on the list.
The Bally/Midway division of Bally was purchased and reincorporated in 1988 by the arcade and pinball game company Williams Electronics Games through its holding company WMS Industries Inc.

I loved the keynote. Steve's excitement was palpable - he really believes this is the next big thing. Let's give him a little credit here.
I would be willing to bet the next month will be announcement after announcement of upgrades and updates.
Apple is getting stronger and stronger as a company and that is good for the mac and us.

so I opened up my macbook this morning (late 2008 aluminum) and it was at the log in screen which was weird so i logged on and came to discover that when i click on the applications folder in the dock that opens up the grid view, it logs me out. any suggestions?

I don't understand why the maps app doesn't take your location twice before giving you directions. There's been dozens of times I'm on the highway looking for directions and it thinks I'm on the other side of the highway or it thinks I'm on some street I just passed over.
If it took my location, waited a second, and took my location again it would know exactly which direction I was headed or which street I was on.

iDisk works fine for me and has better integration than Dropbox.
How is iDisk better integrated than DropBox? I have DropBox running on my desktop where it looks like any other folder. I can open that folder and drag things to and from it. I have DropBox running on my iPad and iPhone too, and all three devices sync automatically. I use 1Password on all three devices and my data file resides on DropBox, so 1Password syncs to all devices automatically. And, there's a web interface for DropBox, so I can get to it from any computer. So what's better on iDisk?
