Sorry to raise a small but wavering flag here but...
Where the hell are the upgraded MacBooks??!!! :mad:

A lot of services are missing from server admin, some have dumbed down features in the server.app (which replaces server preferences) but a lot is missing.
Doesn't seem right to remove services. Perhaps they will reappear later in the beta.
At least for my use, all the services seem to be present (except Printer Server, which I use but don't really need, as all it really offers is spooling and is otherwise a PITA).
I don't really have time to install and look into this. I'll just investigate when the final release comes out, and maybe a .1 after that! I already know of some Lion issues that will keep me away for a while anyway. And as long as Snow Leopard server will work with Lion clients I can certainly wait!

Flickr is the best for pics hosting
I think I'm going to go with Flickr, since Smugmug is too expensive for my needs. Thanks!
EDIT: actually, I just checked, and Flickr will only let me upload 300MB a month, and will only let me see the most recent 200 pictures on a free account. That's basically worthless too. Maybe I'll just buy another external hard drive instead.

The line was pretty mad, but it seemed to move rather quickly once the doors were opened at 6pm. My hat is off to those who in the queue who had a word with the queue cutters as well as the Apple staff. (Dear queue cutters get with the program, or go back to your friends at Microsoft.)
I was amazed at the number of people in the queue that didn't buy Leopard. LOL... was the lame free t-shirt really worth your time in the queue?
I was a bit embarrassed by all the hot women who asked us what we were queuing up for. Oops, was I really standing in a queue for 2 hours on a Friday night. Hell ya! I saw the ladies later with a big box in my pocket.

I got no good answer for you Lee, I didn't vote for that party. Maybe the minority position of the last two conservative government gave them a softer image than before, maybe it was due to the lack of a strong Liberal leadership, maybe people were tired of going to the polls and wanted a 4 year break... I got 'nothin. :o
I'm afraid that instead of a 4 year break, you're merely going to get broken. I'm serious, after reading up more on these people, you guys are gonna have a very tough time with them. Trust me, they're gonna do what they say they're gonna do. They're idealogues.

If you ask me, it's pretty clear Apple will update all of its laptops before the holiday season. I personally can't wait to buy a new MB, because my 600 MHz G3 iMac is getting a bit sluggish. My question is this: Will it be a simple CPU upgrade, or will Apple change pricing and/or other hardware (such as HD capacity, RAM, etc.)? Oh, and how long do I have to wait?

it loads the webmail interface but i can't click on anything. that means the links are recognized by the cursor but nothing happens. it says error in page. so no webmail for me anymore. $99 for that? i want my old webmail back!
You can still access the old webmail, look in the help section.
One thing I noticed is it doesn't seem to auto check like gmail?

Let's be honest, and speaking as a user who owns both the iWork and the Office suite, Microsoft Office is the superior productivity suite at the moment. Both have some things that the other does not, but overall Office is the best. I'm sure the majority of Mac users would agree...at least the ones that don't let the Microsoft-Apple rivalry get to their heads..

Have fun using those on a 3.5" or 4" screen.
I'm not saying they WILL do that on iPod, but they'd be more likely to do it than a touch-screen home button.
I don't think the gestures would be that bad anyway. I've been using 10.7 Lion for a week now and some of those 4-finger gestures work perfect on the trackpad which is almost the size of an iPod anyway.

on the left side, is the only place that Xeon was listed. There are 5 processors listed there, however on the top where the tabs are, there are only 4, there is no xeon

Why don't you guys just answer the question -- it's pretty simple. I have to use a PC at work and I keep an old one around for some text-based sports games not available on the Mac. But I prefer Mac because:
1) There's nothing in the PC market remotely similar to my 17" widescreen iMac. If you haven't used one, you can't appreciate it's incredible design and beauty.
2) I don't have to pay extra for basic software required to do most of what I do on a computer -- iTunes, iPhoto, iDVD, etc., all free with Mac OS-X. The Windows equivalents are awful.
3) My Mac crashes very rarely, every PC I've ever used crashes at least once a week and requires a new installation of the OS every six months or so just to clean up the garbage.
4) With a Mac, I don't have to download and install a new patch from MS every few days to close a security vulnerability.
5) Add something to a Mac and you know it will work without having to hunt down drivers.
6) When you own a Mac, you feel like you're carrying a great set of golf clubs around a Country Club, not lugging a toolbox in a dark basement. The Mac community is probably the strongest argument in favor of its continued, unlikely survival.

This is old news I have been trying for over a month and a half to look at iPhone prices on AT&T's website and have had the same thing.
Yeah I just realized that yesterday. Also I tried using a Long Island zip code and it still would not work. Apparenty they are blocking all of NY state.

All the other Cellular providers is no different. I cancelled Verizon because of the lack of customer support in their stores and I had constant dropped calls.
As as for buying the iPhone, I replaced my iPhone 3G with the 3GS through the Online Apple Store. Came to my front door in 3 days. NO headaches, NO problems.
